Information We Collect
The RAC believes that personally identifying information, such as your name, postal and e-mail address or telephone number is private and confidential. You can have general access to our site without providing any personally identifying information. The RAC collects personally identifying information only when you voluntarily submit it, such as when you e-mail comments, request information, place an order, sign up for a discussion group/ e-mail list, or register for an event.
Release of Information to Third Parties
The RAC does not release your personally identifying information to third parties unless you have given us permission to do so or unless such release is required to comply with the law or to protect the rights or safety of the RAC or our website users. Information that is collected will not be shared with any outside organization without your permission.
Your Email and IP Address
We use your e-mail address and IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address provides information about how you and others navigate through and use our site. Your IP address may also be used to gather broad demographic information, such as your physical location. We currently use "cookies" only to analyze use of our website, and we do not collect any other data. An IP address that is collected on our site becomes the property of the RAC. The RAC does not sell, market or distribute these addresses to any other organizations and will not use it for purposes other than indicated in this policy.
Registration & Online Ordering
On certain parts of our site (mainly registration forms, donation forms, and order forms), users are required to provide contact information (such as names and e-mail addresses) and unique identifiers (such as passwords). This information is used to send users the information they request and/or to fulfill orders that are created online. The contact information may also be used to contact the user when necessary. Unique identifiers (such as account numbers and passwords) are collected for use as account numbers in our record system. Account information submitted by users may be used to verify and protect users' identity when they are conducting online transactions through our website. The RAC may use contact information to distribute RAC-related information. Users may opt out of receiving future mailings (see the choice/opt-out section).
Links to Other Sites
Our website contains links to other sites. The RAC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other such websites.
Our online surveys may ask users for contact information (such as e-mail addresses and congregational information). We may use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about our organization. Contact information may also be used to contact a user, when necessary. Users may opt out of receiving future mailings (see the choice/opt-out section below). Other contact information (such as congregational information) is collected from website users for use as account numbers in our record system. Information that is collected online in surveys becomes the property of the RAC.
Public Forums and RACBlog Comments
The RAC sponsors discussion groups for members of URJ congregations and other interested parties. These discussion groups are a free service to share comments about a wide variety of issues. Only individuals older than 13 years of age may participate, and by participating you are certifying that you are indeed old enough. The RAC may make the postings to ListServ discussion groups available to its users. We ask that participants refrain from including profanity, obscenities, hateful, and/or defamatory language. The RAC does reserve the right to remove any information posted. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

Correct, Update, and Opt Out
To opt out of any RAC list, you may do so online. If you have trouble, please send an e-mail to email@example.com and indicate the list(s) to which you are currently subscribed, or from which you receive e-mail or traditional mail.
