Lizzie Stein

Lizzie Stein was an Eisendrath Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in the 2015-2016 class and continued her work at the RAC for three more years as a Leadership Development Associate for Youth. Lizzie also served as the Interim L’Taken Director for the 2021-2022 season, where she navigated the program though the ever-changing world of the COVID-19 pandemic and supported RAC-IL’s Shomer Shelter Campaign.

RAC-IL’s Victory for Shomer Shelter

Last month, the Illinois legislature passed HB 2775, a bill that would end source of income discrimination in housing. Working across lines of difference as a member of the Illinois Coalition for Fair Housing, RAC-IL is proud to have played a key role in this successful campaign, which makes Illinois the twentieth state in the country to pass protections against income discrimination in housing. Governor J.B. Pritzker is expected to sign the bill in the coming weeks.
